Skills

I employ user centered design principles in all my work whether tasked to code semantic mark up or create rich graphical interfaces. From the inside out, I design by shaping user experience with methods that build strong and valuable relationships between user and client.

  • Nine years experience as a visual designer
  • Proficient in creating site architecture, wireframe concepts, graphic design and front-end development
  • Expert XHTML/CSS hand-coding skills
  • Well read across many aspects of new media design and technology
  • Well versed in Microsoft, Apple and Adobe design software also intimately familiar with JavaScript, PHP and .Net

Experience

My professional experience includes work for interactive agencies as a designer and front-end developer as well as an educator at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design.

I’ve had the opportunity to create projects both large and small, from fortune 5oo clients like Briggs & Stratton and Colgate-Palmolive to local businesses like the Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee and Groom for Men hair salon.

My work has received attention from CSS Beauty, CSS Mania, Smashing Magazine, and Campaign Monitor Blog. My projects have also been featured on the Smithsonian Institute website and in TimeOut New York magazine.

Background

Fortunately my first professional work experience began at the New York Public Library where I had the opportunity of meeting and learning from Jeffery Zeldman. Semantic web design and technology have since been a subject of constant study and insatiable interest.
